OVERVIEW
Internship
position for students studying Instrumentation Control Technology, Electrical/Electronic
Technology or Instrumentation Engineering Technology or related degree.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install,
operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate/adjust, and maintain
Calorimeters, Gravitometers/Densitometers, Chromatographs, Telemetering
systems, Moisture analyzers, ESD systems, Electronic odorization systems, Flow
computers, PH and conductivity probes, Instrumentation ( Discrete pressure and
temperature transmitters) , Meter tubes and orifice plates, Satellite
equipment, Analytical equipment, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
(SCADA) system and remote terminal units and equipment, Distributed Control System
(DCS), Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. Identify and troubleshoot
electrical circuits from single phase to three phase. Electric motor control
equipment and circuits. Hydraulic and pneumatic actuated flow and pressure
control equipment.
Perform
preventative maintenance and/or analytical testing on compressors/engines,
electric motors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
Maintain
electrical power circuits, switch gear, and power distribution.
Install
and maintain security/intrusion systems.
Drive
and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles. Applicable driver's
license.
Regular
and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be
required to perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
You
must be a student of Instrumentation Control Technology, Electrical/Electronic
Technology or Instrumentation Engineering Technology or related degree.
Preferred
experience/exposure in use and function of reciprocating or gas turbine
engines, compressors, and electronic and processing equipment applicable to
position.
Ability
to analyze, adjust, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
Application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division.
Working knowledge in use of computers. Demonstrated ability to access and/or perform basic computer functions
utilizing company software applications.
Lift,
push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 25 times a day; up to 20
pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 30 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 40 pounds 3-5
times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
Use
of and basic understanding of Safety Equipment and Personal Protective
Equipment.
Climb and/or maneuver over, under, and around engines, pipe racks,
uneven terrane and equipment while servicing, maintaining, and/or repairing.
Walk, stand, and kneel/stoop for extended periods. Ability to work on
elevated work surfaces. Ability to differentiate between colors.Ability to work in confined and elevated areas. React
immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others. Able
to operate tools and equipment as required. Peripheral vision and accurate
depth perception. Sufficient vision to perform job duties.
Communicate and/or
exchange written and verbal information and instructions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
